about

Solawa has just recorded her second album: Tempo
This album, made possible thanks to the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, takes us even further along the path that we had taken at the beginning of our trip: each member of Solawa has refined and deepened his contribution to our music, the words of our songs, in French, in Plains Cree, in Spanish and English, are more poetic, rhythms and melodies, most often related to the ethnocultural origins of each of the composers, more assumed, the whole is filled with a wide range of uninhibited emotions. The diversity of our music is the mirror of our own diversity: songs that range from indigenous traditions of North America to traditional Argentine rhythms, with a detour through French song and jazz.
After 4 years of existence Solawa has become one of the major actors in the world music scene in Montreal.
We invite you to vibrate to the sound of our music, to let yourself be carried away by it in this journey deep into the heart of this diverse, supportive and generous Montreal.
